Hotel receives an email from a couple getting married requesting that they provide a complimentary 7-10 day honeymoon stay that includes meals: ‘They were very polite about it and even gave us a whole list of alternatives if we say no’

At least they were nice about it… After all, they say who doesn't try doesn't get!

If you already have the 'no', then is it too bad to try? We are always talking about the people who never try. The stuck-ups that are always thinking of doing something but never have the guts to actually do it. And we love to tell them that they already have the 'no', that there is nothing wrong with asking, that the worst thing that can happen is just getting a 'no' that they already had by not asking. So the one time that someone does something about it, we just laugh at them. Ok, I know what you are all thinking: yes, this was a little too much to ask. Of course, a hotel is not going to comp your honeymoon with meals just because. Unless you are a big influencer or an incredibly famous celebrity. Which takes me to another train of though. 

Why do celebs and influencers who have a lot of money get all those free and comped things, but a regular person wouldn't? I guess it would be a pretty cool advertisement to, out of the blue, give a normal person a free honeymoon trip. So why do millionaires always get them? I know about the exposure, but influencers are draining us, normal people. I promise you, with my non-existent marketing degree, that there is no reason for an ad where a normal person gets a free trip to work better than any fake video done by an annoying influencer that is not influencing the right people at all. Wouldn't it be better to get an honest ad from a normal person who actually got to travel during their honeymoon just because they got it for free? I don't know, maybe this is too far-fetched. But I do not think that there was anything wrong with this couple asking for a free honeymoon. They lose nothing by just asking, and they were super respectful about it, and even offered other options if the whole thing for free was not possible.
